Labcom 221 Communication units – Reliable remote monitoring for measurement sites without mains power
Labcom 221 is a remote monitoring device for industrial, water utility, and environmental monitoring applications, designed for the reliable collection and transmission of measurement and alarm data. The device is particularly suited for locations where mains power is not available or where monitoring requires long operating periods without regular maintenance. Typical applications include stormwater and level measurements, remote monitoring of mobile tanks, property alarms, district heating networks, and other non-electrical measurement locations.
All Labcom 221 models feature built-in GPS positioning and use 4G-based LTE-M / NB-IoT data transmission. Measurement, alarm, and positioning data are transmitted to the LabkoNet cloud service, where they can be monitored in real time, analysed, and used for reporting. Labcom 221 GPS
Labcom 221 GPS is a remote monitoring device equipped with an internal rechargeable battery. The device also supports an external 6…28 VDC power supply, enabling flexible use in different applications. When operated solely on battery power, the typical operating time is approximately 2–4 years, depending on the application.
Labcom 221 BAT
Labcom 221 BAT operates with replaceable lithium batteries and is designed for very long-term operation without mains power. Depending on the application, the typical operating time is up to 5–10 years before the batteries need to be replaced.
Labcom 221 Solar
Labcom 221 Solar combines a solar panel and rechargeable battery, enabling very long-term operation without regular maintenance. The Solar version is particularly suitable for remote locations where maintenance visits need to be minimised.
Labcom 221 RES
Labcom 221 RES is specifically designed for applications requiring resistance measurement. A typical application is remote monitoring of leak detection wires in district heating networks, where changes in resistance can be used to detect abnormalities and damage in the network at an early stage.
