Labcom Solar – solar-powered communication unit
Labcom Solar is a solar‑powered communication unit designed for remote monitoring of measurements in industrial and environmental maintenance applications. The device is ideally suited for locations where grid power is not available or is difficult to access. Thanks to the solar panel, Labcom Solar enables uninterrupted data transmission for several years without maintenance or battery replacement. Labcom Solar is an environmentally friendly and worry‑free solution for long‑term remote monitoring in demanding and remote measurement sites.
Labcom Solar operating principle and data transmission
Labcom Solar sends measurement data and alarms via the mobile network to the LabkoNet cloud service, where the data is stored, visualised, and shared with all relevant parties. Alarms and measurement results can also be delivered directly as text messages to the user’s mobile phone, enabling fast response to abnormal situations.
Available device versions
The Labcom Solar solution is available in versions based on two different Labcom communication units:
- Labcom 221 Solar – a compact and energy‑efficient solution for battery‑powered and off‑grid installations
- Labcom 442 Solar – a versatile option for more extensive measurement and alarm requirements
Both versions utilise solar energy to provide reliable, long‑term operation without the need for grid power.
